Veronica recently joined American Gateways in September 2024 as the new Social Services Caseworker. Veronica is a San Antonio native born and raised in the Westside. Veronica is a first-generation college graduate earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Texas-San Antonio. Veronica has over 15 years of experience working in the Social Services Field. Veronica has worked with an array of individuals including the houseless mentally ill. It was at St. Pjs Children’s Home that Veronica had her first experience working with undocumented minors. This experience fueled her passion for helping the migrant community. In her free time Veronica Gatica enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her two daughters Sophia and Isabella and her many fur babies.
