Adriana joined American Gateway in 2023 as a Legal Caseworker. Born and raised in Costa Rica, her home country, she earned her law degree from the University of Costa Rica (J.D. 2003) . Adriana is a licensed attorney in Costa Rica with vast of experience, having worked in both private and government roles. Additionally, she holds a degree in International Relations (B.A. 2004) and pursued Ph.D. studies in Latin American Studies at the National University of Costa Rica, where she also served as a professor. Adriana volunteered at American Gateways from 2015 to 2016, witnessing firsthand the positive impact the organization had on many disadvantaged people. As an immigrant in the US, she brings a unique perspective to her work. In her free time, Adriana enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.
